CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

1. OVERVIEW

This Cancellation and Refund Policy ("Policy") outlines the terms and conditions for refunds, cancellations, and course modifications for all CUET Plus programs, courses, and services. This Policy is designed in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and ASCI Guidelines for Educational Institutions.

2. REFUND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Refunds will be granted in the following scenarios only:

2.1 Cancellation Before Program Commencement

Eligibility:

The Subscriber cancels enrollment before the program start date or before the first class/content access

The cancellation request is submitted in writing via email to refund@cuet.plus

Refund Amount:

Full refund of all fees paid, minus payment gateway charges (if applicable, typically 1-2%)

Example: If you paid ₹50,000 with 1.5% gateway charge, refund = ₹50,000 - ₹750 = ₹49,250

Timeline:

Refund processing: 7-10 business days from approval

Bank transfer time: Additional 3-5 business days depending on your bank

Request Submission:

Email: refund@cuet.plus

Subject Line: "Refund Request - [Your Name] - [Enrollment ID]"

Include: Full name, enrollment ID, transaction proof, reason for cancellation

2.2 Service Deficiency or Non-Delivery

Eligibility:CUET Plus failed to deliver the promised Service:

Faculty listed in the program is not available to teach, and no suitable replacement is provided

The program is cancelled by CUET Plus without offering an alternative

The online platform is unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours during the program

Material changes to program content, structure, or delivery mode are made without notice

Refund Amount:

Full refund of unused fees, OR

Transfer to an alternative program of equivalent or greater value at no additional cost

The Subscriber may choose which option they prefer

Timeline:

Refund processed within 7-10 business days of approval

Bank processing adds 3-5 additional business days

2.3 Duplicate or Erroneous Payment

Eligibility:

The Subscriber was charged twice for the same program

An incorrect amount was charged due to system error

Payment was processed multiple times for a single enrollment

Refund Amount:

Full refund of the duplicate/erroneous amount

Timeline:

Refund processed within 5-7 business days of approval

Claim Process:

Submit evidence of duplicate/erroneous charge (transaction receipts, bank statements)

2.4 Payment Failure or Non-Receipt of Services

Eligibility:

You were charged but the program access was never provided

You were charged but no confirmation email or access credentials were sent

Refund Amount:

Full refund of fees paid

Timeline:

Refund processed within 5-7 business days

3. NON-REFUNDABLE SCENARIOS

The following situations are NOT eligible for refund:

3.1 Post-Commencement Cancellations

The program or course has started (first class has been conducted or content has been accessed)

You have accessed live classes, recorded videos, study materials, or practice tests

You have participated in any assessments or mock tests

Refunds requested more than 30 days after enrollment

3.2 Voluntary Withdrawal

You voluntarily cancel or suspend enrollment due to personal reasons

You decide not to attend or participate in the program

You choose to withdraw due to change in personal circumstances (job, relocation, etc.)

3.3 Student Performance or Satisfaction Issues

Dissatisfaction with teaching methodology or faculty quality

Disappointment with mock test results or performance

Belief that the program did not meet expectations

Low exam scores or non-admission to university

Refunds are for service failure, not student dissatisfaction. Success depends on individual effort and capability.

3.4 Scholarship and Discount-Related

Discounts applied at enrollment (the refund amount excludes the discount)

Scholarships granted (scholarship amounts are non-refundable)

Promotional offers or special pricing

Example: If you paid ₹20,000 (with ₹5,000 scholarship), refund = ₹20,000 (not ₹25,000)

3.5 Materials and Digital Access

Mock tests accessed or completed

Practice question sets downloaded or accessed

Study materials accessed

Recorded videos or content viewed

Any digital content consumed

3.6 One-on-One Services

Mentorship or counselling sessions conducted

Personalized study plan sessions completed

University counselling sessions attended

Any service already delivered

3.7 Late or Delayed Requests

Refund requests submitted more than 30 days after enrollment or first class

Requests for partial refunds after extended usage

4. REFUND PROCESS AND PROCEDURE

Step 1: Submit Refund Request

Email refund@cuet.plus with:

Full name and registered email address

Enrollment ID and batch name

Transaction ID and proof of payment (screenshot of receipt/invoice)

Clear reason for refund request

Any supporting documents (if applicable)

Step 2: Verification

Our Refund Team will:

Verify your enrollment status and payment records

Confirm eligibility based on this Policy

Review supporting documents

Response within 5 business days

Step 3: Approval Decision

We will send an email with:

Decision: Approved/Denied/Pending Additional Information

Reason for decision (if denied)

Refund amount (if approved)

Expected processing timeline

Step 4: Refund Processing

Upon approval:

We initiate refund to your original payment method

Processing time: 7-10 business days

Your bank may take an additional 3-5 business days to reflect the refund

Step 5: Confirmation

You will receive an email confirmation once the refund is initiated

A refund receipt and acknowledgement will be provided

The refund amount will appear in your account as per your bank's timeline

5. REFUND MODES

5.1 Original Payment Method

Credit Card: Refund credited back to the card (5-7 business days from bank)

Debit Card: Refund credited back to the card (3-5 business days from bank)

Bank Transfer: Refund transferred to the same bank account (3-5 business days)

Wallet/UPI: Refund credited to the wallet or UPI account (immediate to 2 business days)

Payment Gateway Credit: Refund credited as payment gateway wallet balance (2-3 business days)

5.2 Alternative Refund Methods

If you prefer a different refund method (e.g., direct bank transfer instead of card), contact refund@cuet.plus with authorization

We accommodate alternative methods where possible, but timeline may vary

5.3 Refund Not Received

If you do not receive your refund within the stated timeline:

Check your account/card statement 30 days after initiation

Contact your bank to verify if the refund was received but not yet credited

Email refund@cuet.plus with proof that refund was not received

We will investigate and resend if necessary

6. PROGRAMME CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION BY CUET PLUS

6.1 Full Program Cancellation by CUET Plus

If CUET Plus cancels an entire program:

You are entitled to a full refund of fees paid, OR

Transfer to an alternative program of equivalent or greater value

You will receive written notice with a 14-day option period to choose refund or transfer.

6.2 Material Changes to Program

If CUET Plus makes material changes (e.g., faculty, schedule, delivery mode, content) after enrollment:

You will receive email notification

You have 15 days to request a refund, transfer, or accept the changes

No refund processing fee applies for refunds due to material changes

6.3 Partial Program Cancellation

If portions of a program are cancelled but most content remains:

Refund = (Cancelled portion fees / Total program fees) × Fees paid

Example: If 30% of modules are cancelled, refund = 30% of fees paid

Alternatively, choose transfer to another batch or program

6.4 Postponement or Date Changes

If the program start date is postponed by more than 30 days, you can request full refund

If the schedule is rearranged but program length remains the same, refund is not applicable

You can transfer to another batch at no additional cost

7. SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

7.1 Medical Emergency

If you are unable to continue due to serious illness, hospitalization, or medical condition:

Provide medical certificate or doctor's report

Request for refund or transfer is considered on case-by-case basis

Typically, a prorated refund is offered if the program is more than 25% incomplete

7.2 Technical Issues

If you face persistent technical problems accessing the platform:

Report to support@cuet.plus with screenshots and issue details

We will attempt to resolve within 48 hours

If unresolved within 7 days, you can request refund or transfer

7.3 Family or Personal Hardship

If you face genuine hardship (job loss, relocation, family emergency):

Contact our support team with details

We may consider partial refund or extended course validity (if not yet started)

Each case is reviewed individually

8. NO REFUND GUARANTEE DISCLAIMER

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

We do NOT guarantee any exam results, ranks, scores, university admissions, or placements. Refunds are strictly for service delivery failures, not for outcomes.

Your success in CUET depends on your individual effort, study consistency, capability, and exam performance

CUET Plus provides coaching and guidance; the final outcome is your responsibility

Admission decisions are made solely by universities based on their criteria

No refund will be granted based on exam results, admission rejection, or dissatisfaction with outcomes

9. DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND ESCALATION

9.1 Internal Grievance Redressal

If you are unsatisfied with a refund decision:

9.2 Escalation to Consumer Commission

If not resolved within 30 days, escalate to:

District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (claims up to ₹1 crore)

State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (claims ₹1 crore - ₹10 crores)

National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (claims above ₹10 crores)

10. TAX IMPLICATIONS

GST (where applicable) is included in the refunded amount

Scholarship refunds may have tax implications as per government guidelines; consult your tax advisor

CUET Plus will provide a refund receipt for tax documentation purposes

11. TRANSFER OPTIONS

Instead of requesting a refund, you can transfer to:

11.1 Alternative Batch or Program

Transfer to another batch of the same program at no additional cost

Transfer to a different program of equivalent or lower value at no additional cost

If transferring to a higher-value program, pay the difference

Transfer validity: Within 1 year of original enrollment

11.2 Conditions for Transfer

Original program has not been completed

Transfer requested before 50% of the program is consumed

New batch must start within 12 months

11.3 Transfer Process

Email: transfer@cuet.plus with request details

Provide reason for transfer and preferred new program

Approval within 3 business days

New access credentials sent within 2 business days

12. AMENDMENTS TO THIS POLICY

CUET Plus may update this Policy to comply with applicable laws or improve service delivery. Material changes will be communicated via email and Website notification at least 15 days in advance. Your use of Services after amendments signifies acceptance of the updated Policy.
